Yesterday was an overall good day. I finally decided to work towards getting into a 5k. I decided on the December Jingle Bell 5k here in the city. I have not signed up but yesterday during lunch was my first workout on the C25K workout program. C25K is basically a couch to 5K workout program that was posted on this site http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml that I believe many people use. I think there are different versions but this is the one that I found. It was pretty low key yesterday but a good push and a push that I needed. Of course I had many obstacles that I need to get over before I started this program. Well yesterday morning I packed my bag to workout like I usually but what was different yesterday was that at work we needed to get all dressed up because of important people coming in that day, so I needed to pack more than usual. When lunch time came and I had made my decision on the C25K program I was pretty excited to go workout but when I went to go change of course I forgot a few things. My glide which I bought last weekend and basically that is to help what I call the chub rub when walking. I have used it twice and it is going pretty good. Now the glide was not a big deal because I have been without since then so I knew how to work it but then I looked and I forgot my SOCK, not both just one SOCK. So after a laugh at myself I just threw on the one SOCK that I had and went sockless on the other foot and OMG did that feel funny. I got through my workout and I was proud of myself because I didn’t give up and honestly it was a great workout. It is hot here in San Diego and I was dripping sweat but it felt really good. I offered to anyone to join me for the 5k and I actually got a couple takers. I will keep you posted on my workouts and how my C25K is doing. Talk to you all later.
